Sought after for her light touch and ability to create a glowing, camera-ready complexion that still looks extremely natural, LA-based Taiwanese makeup artist Emily Cheng is deeply committed to a combination of massage, skin care, and devices to prep the skin. “Even if you are super-young with perfect skin, good massage wakes it up, brings more circulation, and really works in your moisturizer,” she explains. “You’ll see and feel a difference, and your skin will stay radiant and moisturized a lot longer.” In between working with Rebecca Ferguson and Laufey for the recent Met Gala, and diving into a busy schedule for long-time client Billie Eilish’s upcoming album release, Cheng took a moment to shop THE SHELVES and pick up a few VIOLET CODE APPROVED favorites.
