In New York’s highly competitive superstar facialist scene, Sofie Pavitt is known as “The Acne Whisperer.” A master aesthetician and founder of her own lower Manhattan skincare studio (not to mention a valued VG Committee member), Sofie has dedicated her much-lauded career to helping people with the most difficult to treat skin: sensitive, problematic, and acne-prone. When we heard she was developing an effective, yet gentle, solution-oriented product line inspired by her in-studio treatments, we called in samples immediately.
TESTED
Our curators at the VIOLET LAB were instantly drawn to the cryotherapy-inspired Nice Ice Frozen Toner Pods. We loved that these single-use cubes combined the de-puffing, skin-tightening, circulation-enhancing cold treatment with soothing, hydrating ingredients in a single step. Plus, they were just so cool. We found ourselves regularly reaching (into our freezers) for the pods to calm an angry breakout, pacify post-procedure inflammation, or simply give dull, tired skin a wake-up call. This ingenious invention was soon off to the Committee of Industry Experts for their stamp of approval.
