Fresh out of art school, Ben Gorham began BYREDO as a creative project by to explore the connection between scent and memory. Named for the old English phrase ‘by redolence,’ meaning ‘reminiscent of,’ Gorham’s passion project became a reality in 2006 when he realized he’d rather create fragrances than paintings. His Scandinavian aesthetics contrast with his Indian background and outsider’s approach for a unique range of transportive scents. The BYREDO range reinforces an understated approach through simple compositions and the highest quality raw materials from around the world.
