For the Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Jason B. Diamond, familiar faces are part of doing business. “My cell phone would be a matter of national security, I think, if you could see who’s in it,” the doctor jokes, though some fans make themselves known. When the comedian Nikki Glaser posted a clip of her recent HBO special—featuring a riff about the “landslide” unfolding on her face—to Instagram, the accompanying caption read like an SOS: “Paging Dr. Diamond.”

Of course, awards season demands subtler restoration, hence the buzz around Dr. Diamond’s signature InstaFacial®, a multipart procedure that combines laser, microneedling, and PRP therapy. It’s all part of his ongoing interest in the modes of rejuvenation that he has explored in the decades after residency, which largely focused on the deeper structures of the face. “I was blown away by the advanced strategies and all the sophisticated knowledge of skin that we didn’t learn as a surgeon,” says Dr. Diamond. “I realized I don’t necessarily need people to be asleep to do these regenerative types of skin treatments.”

In 2023, after a half-dozen years of research into the biomimetic ingredients that spur repair, he launched the skin care line Dr. Diamond’s Metacine, with the initial products Plasma and Emulsion. This spring’s newcomer, Infusion, rounds out the InstaFacial® trio, which together mimic the effects of his in-office treatment. “Taking care of your skin requires a 360-degree approach,” he says, offering a glimpse of his early-morning wellness routine. There’s the big bottle of room-temperature water, followed by black coffee and low-level sunlight exposure; he hits the treadmill and weights, cycles through the sauna and shower, and finishes with skin care. “I always say, aging is the most brutal sport there is—it makes the NFL look like patty-cake,” he quips. “So we are attacking that problem at every angle.” He brings that same precision mindset to his expertly edited BAG.

“To be effective in your skin care routine, you need to be effective with your sleep hygiene and tools. Silk pillowcases offer less friction and greater moisture retention for skin and hair, plus they are hypoallergenic. We especially love them post-InstaFacial, so the PRP/PRF is absorbed maximally into the skin and not your bedding.”
