DISCOVERED

The makeup artist Gucci Westman had a very specific brief in mind when dreaming up her new liquid bronzer. “I was always layering and layering different products to create that perfect sun-kissed, Jen Aniston skin,” she recalls, harking back to her luminous work on the actress for the August 2002 cover of Vogue. What if she could create a do-it-all formula that leaned into naturalism, delivering a burnished matte flush while nourishing skin? The result is Westman Atelier’s Sun Tone Bronzing Drops, a featherweight tint built for improvisation. Add a drop to moisturizer for an overall glow. Swirl with a brush onto the high points of the face. Tap-tap-tap with your fingertips onto bare cheeks: a coffee-run pick-me-up. When preview samples arrived during the homestretch of winter, the effect was something like salvation. The formula is boosted with carrot oil and a prebiotic moisturizing complex, and the four tints adapt to a wide range of complexions. Summer can’t come soon enough—in the meantime, a dose of warmth sure helps.
